We're in the process of doing the patio area and would like to know where we could get some gravel/small stones from(quite a lot) and delivered. We're in central Corfu.

We also need some concrete too. Can you get this already mixed and delivered or do you need to buy bags and mix it yourself.

Can anyone recommend someone to lay crazy paving?

Any advise would be gratefully appreciated.

Many thanks,

You can buy the bags and mix it yourself, or get it delivered. In this hot weather you need to keep watering it to cool it while it sets slowly, otherwise it will harden before it is laid and will crack like crazy paving!

You can find phone numbers of builders merchants online at OTE, but it is better to drive round and find one if you don't speak Greek. There is a good one near to the Lidls store near the airport, not only friendly, but speaks english very well!

There is an amazing source of stones, pebbles, tiles, crazy paving, driveway stones, and bathroom tiles and sanitary ware on the road north from Tzavros on the right hand side just after Emeral the cake shop. It looks as if it only sells marble, but when you get inside the yard they have a huge selection of tempting things.

I shall have to remember that, Susanna...  You never know what I might need...
