Hiya, as some of you know, we will be moving to Corfu shortly. Question I have is does anyone think it is worth taking our tumble dryer for the winter months or not, does anyone think it would come in handy in the winter due to the dampness?

Hi Darren we moved ours out last year and I only used it twice over the winter. There are more dry days than wet and when its dry its usually quite mild and windy so things still dry well on the line, not like uk when it can sit damp on the line for a week. If we got a sudden shower I just moved the washing onto the verandah on the fold up dryer, so no wouldn't bother if I were you

I would certainly bring it if you have one. Remember that this winter was very dry compared to other years. Last winter it rained at sometime every day for 7 weeks. This winter was so much better with the dampness thats normally around in the winter not being in evidence at all.

I shall be taking mine Darren as I well remember a wet 2 weeks in May and nowhere to dry the bedding, its not too bad with clothing but sheets are a different matter.

Denise.

I am still trying to save for a tumble dryer, it would make my life a lot easier in the winter. Winters are normally a lot wetter than previous years, and my washing always takes forever to dry and because of the length of time it can smell!! My advice, if you normally do a lot of washing, bring it!!!

I would have loved a tumble dryer years ago when I lived there - take it you'll need it in the winter.

Just spotted a plan. If Rosy dosn't use her drier and SLD who only lives about 100 meters away wants one why dosn't Rosy give hers to SLD who really wants one. This way everyone will be a winner.

There's enough nice days to get the washing dry...........with a little help from the radiators!!

I have a washer/dryer, and have never used the dryer over here.  If the weather's bad, I just don't do the washing - simple as that, and when it brightens up, I'll do 2 or 3 loads at a time!!  We seem to cope!!
