Went out to Corfu in January to sort out our site purchase and took the oportunity to pick up some seeds whilst there, thought it would be worth a try anyway. Today we had our first Crop!!

Ok just some radishes but they were CORFU RADISHES!!

I can't stand radishes, but may be persuaded to try special Corfiot ones......surely they taste better than the horrid things my Dad used to grow!!

I love them, eat them straight out of the packet like grapes!!

Anything tastes better when grown in Greece. I am always in awe of thier huge tomatoes, that dont go all sloppy like the ones we get in the UK do.

I had a tomatoe salad last year at joannas and the tomatoes were warm from the sun as they had just been picked!

This week, we ate our first home-grown strawberries - early compared to other years.

Hi Jeremy....A fellow veggie grower by the sounds of it. Always nice to have that first crop. Yummy!

Just noticed the first trusses on my tomato plants today. The grape vine looks like it is going to produce a heavy crop again this year(lost count at 100 bunches last year), brassicas all planted out and doing well. Hope we don't get any late frosts to knock things back.

When we go over in May, if we have time between painting the house, I'm hoping to plant tomatoes in the garden. Our Greek friends ALL have them - no greenhouses! and the tomatoes taste FANTASTIC!!  Moyra + Dennis
