Hi Janet,

I don't see why British tools can't be used in Corfu. We have taken and used a lawn mower and one of those trimmers and had no problems. I know these are not building tools but they were electric and they worked.

I would imagine just like the normal things electrical we take on holiday, the same applies to electrical power tools, as long as you use the plug converter and the normal RCD one would use at home.

Best Wishes.

Janeto.

They should work OK assuming that his tools are 230-240v,

However if he has professional building site (HSE) required 110v then the variation in voltage in Greece may have a significant effect?

Battery tools work fine.

You will also find that good quality tools such as De-Walt etc, are available there.

Bob.

If he has 110v and a transformer his tools should work OK, possibly a little bit less efficient but not a great deal

Steve
