I`m just wondering does anyone know how much money it cost to open a bank account in greece. I also have another question you see i`m a bit lost where banking is concerned.
Once i have open the said account can i transfer money form uk to corfu by intrenet banking. thank`s for any help.

Hi John it took us 10 minutes to open a bank account in Acharavi there is a young lady there who is really helpful, we did not have to put any money into the account because we were transferring money from the uk, it took a few weeks for our pink slip to arrive from the main bank in Corfu, once our money had been transferred but that is usual so we understand.

Could anyone tell me the closest bank to San Stephanos NW? and do you have to open a greek bank account in Greece or can you do it from here and is it worth the hassle?

Also my daughter is 17 and is tax free on her account would she stil be there?

I don't believe you can open an account from the UK. Alpha have a branch in London (Near Moorgate if I recall) but it is an office rather than a conventional bank - more commercially orientated.
