Chippy 54, We're going to Corfu for two to three months this year with a view to buying somewhere when our house is sold. This is just my point of view but it seems as cheap to stay in a hotel initially compared to long term rental and the committment required. Half board in a double room is around 25/30Euros per night so approx £525 GBP to £650 GBP per month May & June for the two of you with food, gas, electric, water rates, cleaning included If you can get a family room at the same price you'll have ample living space. We've enquired and many hotels do take dogs. Gives you chance to get over the house sale and the move, and gives you time to kick start the new build. A hotel can feed you cheaper than you can feed yourself.

Best of luck.

Steve
