Beware all early summer travellers if travelling with Olympic Holidays. Today I thought I would checkout my holiday costs to return to Kefalonia and it looks like they do not included transfers by coach even if you wanted too. You will have to pay Olympic Holidays £45 per person for a taxi each way thats £180 return for two or hire a car? Have you ever tried to hire a car for a return trip with 7/14 day gap, and I would expect the taxi that can take 4 passengers will not travel with just one passenger so someone is charging £180 one way to the resort of (example) Skala. I suggest wait till you arrive at the airport and book your own transfers with other people who want the same or a close resort, or as I always do hire a car over the internet. I have found cefalonia rentacar very reliable and cost effective.

Johann - thanks for that information about Olympic Holidays. I checked out their website and when they say ' taxi each' they mean taxi each way, rather than taxi each person. For Skala it looks like GBP55 taxi each way for a taxi which takes 4 persons. I am not sure whether that means you would share your taxi with other guests if you are booking as a couple because it does not state 'private taxi' just taxi transfer. I think their website is not very clear and you can only see what they mean if you follow the booking through to see what the charges are for the taxi. I think we will see more tour operators offering what they call dynamic packaging to meet the general demand which seems to be going that way. That is a shame for those who want a budget rate package holiday which Olympic Holidays has a history of providing. Libra Holidays are back in Kefalonia - their website shows that resort transfers are included. For unpackaged holidays see the website

I think there is a glich on Olympic system ,I checked appts in Skala Tuesday 18 th May they are £399 including transfers,Sunday 23rd £574 and no transfers!!!!!! I have looked at other islands and dates Corfu and Rhodes include transfers ,Kos and Skiathos do not ,, think gremlins about.I cannot see transfers coming of as a goer as would be blood baths at airports fighting for taxi,s

I believe IanS is correct there is a fault on there site, today when I checked there is no Sunday flights but at the heading of there search it says departing 23rd May!!! also when first checked for the 23rd it offered the option flight times giving a list of all UK airports with there + or- charges, why give options from Manchester when my first search requested Gatwick?
I agree with you about the bloodbath for a taxi there would not be enough to go around.
Also, Francesca is quite correct to day it says taxi each way the other day it did say per person that's what set me off.
Lets all wait and see what happens next. Perhaps when the price says £100 per couple for two weeks with no transfers book it quick.
Yes guys just tried it again and it is offering hotels only, unless you click on your resort then it gives you Tuesdays only.
