Arrived home at 00.30 this morning on Easyjet after a great 8 days. Stayed in San Stef (Angela Appartments) which were superb and near to beach and most Tavernas. Whole week we hardly saw a cloud but the evenings were chilly. We had apartment pool to ourselves (it was however colder than the sea!). Great meals at Little Prince, O Manthos, Zorbas and Summer Dreams (I think that the name) and nice Gyros on way home at night from Tasty Corner.

Great walks up to little chapel on the ridge, Afionas and Port Timoni, superb views. Nice time on beach, also at Arillas and Ag Gerogios.

Our view was, (we usually stay in Sidari) that it was very quiet which we enjoyed, but there didn't seem that many people about. Sometimes in Bar 38 and the othe rbar round corner with pool tables (name forgotten) we were only customers. Shame as its a lovely place to stay.

We also visited Makrades, Paleo, Aqualand (again very quiet, probably no more than 50 people in til 3pm when price dropped, so no queues and go on rides as many times as you wanted), boat trip to Vidos and Mouse Island was excellent as well. Sidari to see old friends and to visit Orchard for excellent Quince Crumble. Went to Corfu Donkey Rescue to see Judy and the donkeys. Had a good time, walked the pony followed by 4 dogs to the almost empty lake. Always a great visit and Judy is looking forward to moving to new home. She was waiting on food and straw/hay supplies. She also needs helpers during the winter months so she doesn't have to do everything herself.
Yesterday was spent in Corfu town shopping and visiting the New Fort (great views of the town to be had from there). Again even Corfu seemed to lack tourists and it was mostly locals. Bonus for us was that at about 6pm a band in full uniform marched through town playing heartily followed by what looked like Navy Cadets with guns at arms. They went to Old Fort where they laid some wreaths. There was a camera crew following and a Monk with a camcorder as well. It made our last day til next July (Sidari) special.
We are already planning to return to San Stef next October. Excellent holiday, blessed with great weather.
