Hi All,

Just back from my week in Arillas. Had a great time relaxing and picking bathrooms and tiles for when we can afford to get the house finished.

There have been quite a few posts from people asking about Arillas as a resort, and also about the Arillas Bay Appartments, so I have put some pics. onto a site at - http://www.sea-breeze-corfu.freehighway.net

They may take a little while to download if you are on a dial-up connection but I think that you will agree that the wait is worthwhile!

It should be stressed that these are my holiday pics. The site is not an advert for the Arillas Bay Appartments, nor is the site in any way connected with them. Any information contained in the site is acurate to the best of my knowledge and belief, and any remarks are purely my own opinion. I will not take responsibility for any innacuracies, or the manner in which people may interpret the content of the site.

Have a great hol!

Geoff.

Hello Geoff,

Lovely photos and now I can't wait to be sitting back there again on the sea-edge terrace having a lazy afternoon drink and reading my book...ahhhh!

Hi Geoff,

Absolutely great pictures. We have been contemplating going somewhere different on Corfu in the not too distant future, and looking at the pics of your last visit, it will definately be a consideration.

Thanks again, and Best Wishes.

Hi. just came back from a week in Arrillas, what a lovely place, people very friendly and you can make the holiday as quiet or hectic as you like, if you do go try the vodka chicken in the pizzeria ajoining whispers bar .

Hello Mogfighow,

'So glad you enjoyed Arillas and I've got to agree with everything you say, especially about "making it as quiet or as hectic as you like".

My husband and I went to Arillas in May last year for the first time and we have returned many times since then......each time accompanied by friends and family who have all fallen under the spell of Arillas and it's  very friendly people.

Sailor, it certainly is worth considering a stay in Arillas, apart from  Arillas itself, it is a great base to see the rest of the west coast.  I've fallen in love with the walk up to Afionas (especially in the springtime), it's lovely church and belltower,it's breathtaking views  south to Agios Georgios, (best enjoyed from Dionysos Taverna).....the fabulous views north to Arillas and San Stephanos, best enjoyed in the evening watching the sunset.  Then there is the coastal walk from Arillas over to San Stefanos....I could go on and on....

Hello there Bailey,

We have always taken the car up in the evening, but walking back (downhill thank goodness!) in the dark should not be a problem if you keep to the road and take a torch with you.

I was told that Afionas has it's own taxi driver who would take us down to Arillas if needed, but unfortunately I did not get a contact number, but I'm sure anyone in Arillas or even the taverna  you eat in in Afionas would help you there.

It really is worth the trip up in the evening, give it a try.
