LOL Steve, wasnt being argumentative...but agree, people have differing tolerance levels...but anyone who would consider noise levels in Roda as a problem must have very very low tolerance levels! I agree there could be SOME traffic noise, but its not going to be like some of the hotels we have stayed in in Spain...even on the umpteenth floor the racket from the screaming mopeds all night long was dreadful.
Looking froward to MY stay in Roda, (Ninos) where all I expect to hear is the waves!

I have a very high tolerance level to noise - and have to say that on some occasions the noise from the taxi rank was excessive (and some scooter noise too) - but not at night. During the day, yes it was noisy. However - I do know people who stay at the Afrodite time after time and specially request a room at the back (not overlooking the sea) so they can't hear it - so it isnt only me. Regarding noise at night, we are usually the last to come home so it doesnt bother us as its usually about 1am.

Hi Nova and David you are in a lovely spot only the road between you and the sea if at the front you will have a great view worth more than any thing, I'm sure you won't be disappointed and try to ignore the reviews. Sure you will have a fab time if its still there there is a fab Mexican place to eat, Maggies and loads more. Love Roda about 6pm beach lovely at this time. Enjoy!

Our first stay in Roda was at the Aphrodite - and we loved it (noise or no noise lol). Nice pool, with a great pool bar serving very reasonably priced snacks. Basic rooms, but spotlessly clean (its the only place I ever stayed where the cleaners came in every day - including Sunday). Very short walk into the centre of the village where there is a great choice of bars and restaurants. Over the road there is a bus stop, so its easy to get out and about - if you can drag yourself away from the beach and the pool. We are hoping to return to Roda later this year, and as I stated earlier, I wouldn't hesitate to return to the Aphrodite. We read the reviews too at the time and were a bit worried, but as we had got the holiday at a real bargain price we decided to take a chance - and we were so glad that we did!

Personally speaking of course, if you know and like Mexican Food, It's not the most authentic

I am sure you will absolutely love Roda - many people have been returning there for many years because they love the place so much. It has a nice beach and the sea is very safe to swim in, even for young children.
I'm sure you will have a great time.
