Cannot help you with your question, but I am sure one of the members will give you the info you are looking for.
I am sure though that everywhere in Roda is safe for you to go. There will be lots of local Taverna's for you to have your meals and sit and have either a quite drink or maybe you may meet up with some other members from the Forum.
Hope you have a good holiday.
Viv

We go to Roda every year for our summer break (12+ years now). You will be fine as a single holidaymaker - it is absolutely safe - there are loads of tavernas, pubs, restaurants (something for everyone). Our favourite restaurant is Roda Park (Costa and Voula have a warm welcome for everyone) and our favourite pub is Crusoes (Alex and Sara are excellent hosts). But wherever you go in Roda you will be made welcome and feel very safe and as though you are among friends.
Our daughter regularly stays out with her greek friends long after hubby and I have returned to our apartmtent - and we feel far more at ease than if she did the same thing here in Newcastle!
If you require any more specific info just let me know and I'll try to help.
Best wishes, Kath.

thank you very much for your info, it is greatly appreciated and i feel a lot more at ease now, i come from the isle of man and it is very quiet here which is probably why i felt anxious about holidaying on my own, i am now looking forward to my holiday with anticipation rather than trepidation. once again thank you

Hi Michelle - and welcome.
Can't speak for where to go in Roda, but I am sure you will feel absolutely safe on your own. I have been to Kassiopi almost on my own (staying with a friend who lived there, and was working all hours!) and never felt uncomfortable at all.
Enjoy, and tell us all about it on your return.

The easy answer on where not to go is there isn't anywhere! I've stayed at Acharavi but walk into Roda and if there are any places where i would feel safer than in Acharavi and Roda I would like to see them. Even my wife, who is very quiet, and normally nervous every time we go anywhere new, wouldn't have felt any unease at going anywhere on her own.
You'll have a great time.
