Hi all,

I know this is a silly question from someone who lived in Sidari/Pygi 30 years ago but can you tell me where the Orestes appartments are?  Apart from a week last year , I have not been to Sidari for 9 years and it has changed so much. I have a booking for Orestes appartments and will be arriving at 0400 am so will not be able to ask anyone for directions. Could anyone tell me exactly where they are and any landmarks to look out for.  ( my partner gets a bit ratty after a long journey so do not want to start our holiday getting lost!!)

many thanks + best regards,

BeeBee

Hi BeeBee

Just before you get to the main Sidari 'strip' turn right towards the beach at the junction where McDonalds is. Follow the road round to the right over the little bridge, and turn right up the track where the El Greco taverna is. You'll see the Orestes apartments on the left hand side. I haven't been in them but they look lovely.

Thanks Gill,

I cannot even remember where McD is but I am sure it will have a big yellow "M" so will look out for it.

The 1st time I went to Sidari in 1974 they only had the 3 brothers hotel, shop and a few cafe bars where the old men sat. It has changed so much.

Thanks again,

BeeBee

The Orestis apartments are lovely, we have been visiting them for 4 years now. They are opposite the pedaloes on the Megali beach, and as Gill says they are just past El Greco restaurant. If you can find Mc D and Iq bar is on the opposite corner, just turn down towards the beach there and you will not go wrong...

I can wholeheartedley recommend the Orestis - tried to get in there this year but they are not in the brochures and the prices direct from Sidari are a little steep. Directions are easy - go to Sidari cross roads (McDondalds on your left) and if coming from Agn area turn left. The appartments are set back just before it's sister Hotel the Beach Star. The location is perfect!

Thanks to all who gave directions recently. With your help found the apartments easily. As we were arriving at 0400 I had visions of us driving around Sidari trying to find them. The Orestes apartments were really nice, well equipped and with a lovely swimming pool.

Unfortunately our stay there was ruined by an extremely noisy couple in the room next door. Drunken arguements  every night. We were just unlucky to be there the week they were there but the apartments were really nice.

Thanks again , Bee Bee
