its a great experience your 1st flight , Don`t worry about it , just fasten your seatbelt , shut your eyes ,Don`t worry about the noise on take off , your in safe hand`s , and your up in the air in no time , that`s the boring part , the flight ,
but landing is absolutely brilliant , and it`s a good experience at corfu airport ,

I'm not the right person to answer your question, as I really love flying. I have a fantastic time every time I'm in an airplane.

Just think that statisticaly airplane is the safest way to travel.

Magik, we had someone come on holiday with us last year that had never flown before.  They were obviously a bit nervous but also excited at the same time.  Just so you'll know, once everyone is aboard, the stewardesses will run through the safety spiel for about 2 minutes while the plane taxi's to the end of the run way.  The captain will then ask thm to take their seats for take-off (passengers will already be belted up).  The plane will then start along the runway and as the accelerator is poured on the engines/wheels make a bit of a roar (this is normal).  It gets to about 200mph or so and before you know it your up in the air and climbing.  Once you're up it really is fine.  Seatbelts off, drinks, food, sleep if you like, then about 3 hours later, seatbelts back on for descent/landing.  Looking out of the window on the way out can be fun, especially as it's easy to make out the boot of Italy.  Coming back you fly over the alps (spectacular scenery).  The chances are that your ears will pop during the descent, they say sucking a sweet helps!

Don't worry about the flight at all, it really will be a fuss about nothing.

I would suggest however, having a few drinks in the departure lounge and also on board for medicinal purposes of course.

Trust me, it's well worth the flight.

Don't worry, the landing will be fine.  It's not half as bad as people make out and in my view no different from almost all other holiday destination airports.  Once the wheels touch down they just apply the brakes a bit that's all.  It really is nothing.

Hi,

I am an aerophobic person, I have been on that many planes now even though I dread it, I cope by taking Diazepam.  Thankfully I have a good Doctor, if you are really worried go and see him/her and they are very helpful.

Don't get like me and worry, it is the worst thing in the world and it ruins the days and the flight really.  Having said that I still fly, after all I couldn't go all over the world if I didn't, it is a means to an end.  I have already clocked up 72 hours this year so I am not doing too bad.

The other thing is have a drink but not too many or they won't let you on the plane because you are drunk and I think that would be worse.

Regards, Pegasus.

Hello magik

don't worry about your first time on a plane.  On my first flight i got myself so worked up i did'nt eat for a day before hand and i was crying so hard atthe airport i had to be pushed onto the plane! But, ITS EXCELLENT! I love flying and just think of the briiliant time you're going to have once your on holiday!

Even if you don't like it so much don't worry about it, your in safe hands and its just the means you have to take to have a fantastic holiday!

don't worry, be happy
