Oh And Corfu Airport? Ouch Doesnt look good.
Magik, we had someone come on holiday with us last year that had never flown before. They were obviously a bit nervous but also excited at the same time. Just so you'll know, once everyone is aboard, the stewardesses will run through the safety spiel for about 2 minutes while the plane taxi's to the end of the run way. The captain will then ask thm to take their seats for take-off (passengers will already be belted up). The plane will then start along the runway and as the accelerator is poured on the engines/wheels make a bit of a roar (this is normal). It gets to about 200mph or so and before you know it your up in the air and climbing. Once you're up it really is fine. Seatbelts off, drinks, food, sleep if you like, then about 3 hours later, seatbelts back on for descent/landing. Looking out of the window on the way out can be fun, especially as it's easy to make out the boot of Italy. Coming back you fly over the alps (spectacular scenery). The chances are that your ears will pop during the descent, they say sucking a sweet helps!
Don't worry about the flight at all, it really will be a fuss about nothing.
I would suggest however, having a few drinks in the departure lounge and also on board for medicinal purposes of course.
Trust me, it's well worth the flight.
