Hi Sinead.

A taxi from the Airport to Sidari will be approximately Euros 45-50, which is not bad if you want to get to your hotel quicker, and not hang around for the coaches.

There is a bus service between Sidari and Corfu Town running a few times a day, but normally at nights they stop running. Here is a bus time table for the bus service. Add 90 minutes on to the times for the service Sidari to Corfu.

That explains why one of my friends told me to speak to the drivers in Greek and only pay the "local rate".

Robby & Sinead...when are you planning on coming over to Sidari??

Best solution is to ask who you are stopping with or someone here to book a taxi for you in advance...then you will pay "local rates".

There are buses as sailor says but not from the airport...and its a long way to walk! You would still have to get taxi to the bus station. Then depending on what time of year you are coming over, would you really want to stand all the way to Sidari on a bus?? lol

Hope this helps

Suzxx

the locals pay less then tourists. And it comes in handy for me that my b/f is a taxi driver in sidari. But depending on the time diring the day it tends to be about 40 euros. And night time its 45 plus. Unfort i can't help with the buses, but maybe you could go into your travel agents and see if you could get on a coach.

Robbie and Sinead,

Not 100% certain, but I think there may be an insurance problem if you try to hitch a ride on a Tour Bus, whether paying or not.

Perhaps someone will put me right on this.

Taxi is your best bet.

Honest Bri
