Hi, flying out on the 13th aug.  Need to know whether to bring body boards for body boarding (funnily enough!).  what are the waves like and where do we need to go if they aren't wavy enough?

Hey totties because pelekas beach aka kodogialos is on the west of corfu theres the open ionian sea so your best chances 2 catch some waves will most probably be there although the majority of the time its fairly calm id recommend to get your bed float ready. Awesome clean waters some areas shallow great views great breeze.I can remember days with huge waives usually too dangerous and cold but have your buggie board as a substitute ya never know!

It is highly unlikely that you will get the waves you will need for your body boarding. The weather of late has made the waters around Corfu and the Ionian of a very calm nature.

If any are going to break, your best bet is as already said, the West Coast. Try Windsurfing, there is always a breeze.

Best of Luck.
