Hi edfirst

We went to Aghios Gordios first time last year.  Although we had been to other parts of Corfu.  We loved the village.  Although we did not stay at the Irene Apartments we went there nearly every day to the swimming pool and the owners could not do enough for you.  Around the swimming pool is spotless and they are around all day cleaning away glasses plates ashtrays etc.

The snack bar is very good. Yannie and Greg do great food.  I saw a lot of people having their breakfast down by the pool and there lunch time snacks were very good.

You will enjoy yourselves there.  The family really put themselves out to give you a great holiday.

Hi every one just got back from Ag Gordios and as you can imagine nowhere was open but we knew that before we went . It was strange seeing GeeBees closed although we arranged and met George and Angela there. As soon as the Easter celebrations were over the village started to come alive, most business owners were painting and renewing their tavernas and shops so managed to say hello to most of them. There is now a huge blue glass recycling bin near the beach entrance and green bins for rubbish so no more black sacks to be seen.

Trace the left hand side of the beach is run by a different council to the right hand side so that is why one looks scruffy to the other, in fact the left hand side were putting down the boardwalks on Easter Saturday needless to say the right hand side still needs repairing. Hi Ed,

The rooms in Irene fall into 2 groups. Those at the front have a balcony which overlooks the main street and are ideal if you are a poeple watcher and like to know what is going on. Those to the rear have a pool or mountain view.

I have no idea if you are going with a T.O. or independant. Regardless, contact Irene through their website a month ahead and express a preference and I feel sure Yannis will do his best to comply.

Hi all!
What I can find is that you can book for Irene with Manos for the British market and Apollo for the Swedish market.
or contact Yannis at http://www.irene-apartments.com/ as weststekker noticed.

baywatcher, Gee Bee's was supposed to be open, but George has a cold and didn't make it to be ready on time.
He'll be there by the end of this week.

I'm sure you'll have great time :)

AgiosGordios,

Is the problem with George just a cold or a case of "MAN FLU"     The perfect excuse to leave Angela and the children to get everything ready for the season whilst he downs a few Metaxa toddies rather than seeing Dr Spiros.

Yammas,  Colin.

Hehe!

Keep an eye on the international press.
Last Summer there was an article on a British newspaper abt Gee Bee's!
Maybe we'll have some paparazzi photos this time!

Hi. I'm arriving on the island 1st June. I've booked flight-only, and intend spending a few days in Ag Gordios, but I don't know exactly which day, or for how long. Those of you in the know - will I have any problems securing a single room for 2/3/4 nights on arrival in the village, early June, at Irene's?

Regards, Bidi.

The resort is not so busy early June so I guess you won't.
You better contact Yannis on the information given above...
But 2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9 nights are not enough.
Have a great time in

Colin

I know what you mean about the man flu but to be fair to George he has been really bad. He had turned the corner when we saw him but still seemed pretty rough.

Hope he doesn't lose his voice - the place wouldn't be the same!
