A huge bumblebee just flew past me and it reminded me of the drunken beetles that I see in Paxos. You know, the big black winged ones that get drunk off fermented fruit that's lying beneath the trees? Then they fly into walls, fall upside down on the ground and spin round and round in crazy circles until they manage to right themselves

Does anyone else find these a source of endless amusement, or do I just have a warped sense of humour?

Elaine Im terrified of that insect and its massive gangly legs..is it the same one we are talking about? Its black with big wings and really long legs...

Im off to bottom of the tree to find the fermented fruit when I visit

Angela, I THINK we're talking about the same thing, although I'd never really noticed that they had particularly long legs. I'm terrified of daddy longlegs, so anything with shorter legs than they have is fine by me!

No Alikee, they're definitely not bees. More like scarab beetles.
