Hi Viv,
There are some really funny Zumba clips on Youtube! My sister, nieces and I are at the beginners stage! All arms and legs working up a sweat, not really sure what we are doing, but having a good old laugh and getting some exercise, it's all good! The Zumba craze seems to be taking Swansea by storm. 2nd week on Tuesday, we'll be advanced before we know it!
Have had a look at Youtube Tina.
Have practised some steps. Now am exhausted but I had just finished doing my weights exercises.
By the time you get to Corfu - you should be in the extreme advance class. Which Taverna will you be showing your new skills in just so that someone can take a small video of you doing the Zumba.
Will it be Mike's in A.G
Viv

I have started just before Christmas (5 weeks ago now) and I already lost 4.2 kilos (despite Xmas, Newyears and my birthday). My goal is too lose around 10 more kilos before coming to Corfu in June.

Viv,
In all Tina's many visits to AG she has never ventures into Mike's!! Perhaps with her new found Zumba skills she will make an appearance sometime soon!!
She can be seen on youtube taking part in the Angelica barbeque night but I'm not allowed to say which one is her!

When I went on holiday in June and saw the holiday photos I kicked myself into shape and got on the slimming world diet, it's fab, now I just buy the monthly magazines and I have lost over 17lbs in wieght, so I would highly recommend this for anyone who finds time to exercise. It's just a matter of cutting out sugar and fat in your diet, which unfortunately is a downfall.

I lost 4 pounds over the last 10 days. I'm quite chuffed by that. It's the first time I've lost weight.
I'll do a bit more on the rowing machine and bike this week. I'll be gutted if I don't lose any more.

Have a look at the Pierre Dukan diet - the actual Dukan site will tell you a bit but the cost to join is scarey - so I looked it up on the various links that come up when you google the diet and then bought the book. I did the diet last summer and lost two stone in a few weeks and kept it off. This is the first time ever I have kept weight off! Friends and relatives have tried it and all had good results.
Yes it is like the Atkins diet but there is a difference. I never managed to stick to the Atkins but did manage to keep to the Dukan.

Just started 'Patrick Holford - The Low-GL Diet Made Easy - the perfect way to lose weight, gain energy and improve your health'.
I have tried Rosemary Conley, Slimming World and Weight Watchers since 1972 - I lost 2 stone for my wedding in 1973 & over the years have lost an average of 2 stone with each organisation.
Now can't shift it! Felt like a beached whale on Agios Georgios NW beach last August. I wore a sarong/kaftan over costume, ran as quickly as possible into the sea to swim, sprinted back to beach & did an Aneka Rice to get the kaftan back over my head!
I will let you know how I get on with the Low-GL Diet. Hope to start Pilates soon and go to the gym - need to lose 2 stone before April or end July (next time we are in Corfu) April sounds a bit optimistic!
I might ask friends and work colleagues to sponsor me per pound in weight and money will go to the Cornwall Air Ambulance.
Good luck to everyone dieting.
Marisa

Well Tina glad to say I was not the only one who had not heard of Zumba classes.
I work alongside an NHS Area (trial Run) and it is mainly helping the 50+'s to find activities within their local area, from walking groups, indoor bowls, tai chi and so on and have now bought in Zumba classes for them and if they are grandparents they like the idea that the grandchildren can go with them, so they all enjoy it together.
