Thanks Viv, I just get so cross with myself, when I get in the mood, I can lose weight, but so much harder than when I was younger, could lose a stone in a month no problem, was not over weight till I was about 45, and in the last 5 years have piled on weight, and when you eat and drink the same and have a similar life style, it is frustating. Should not complain, at least it is up to me to do something about it, and nothing to worry about like a lot of folk. I know carrying weight is not good for us, but I am fit and healthy and dont need to take medication like a lot of my friends at my age have to. Saying that I know it can cause problems, so after tomorrow I promise myself to get back to proper healthy eating, thanks for listening to my moan, (again) lol Ann xxx

Ann - have you got something in the wardrobe that you would like to wear but it dosen't fit at the moment? (sorry to be so personal)
I've got some nice linen shirts that I have not been able to wear for a couple of years. I'm not sure if they will fit yet (scared to try) but that is my goal, to get into those shirts for the holiday.
You can do it.

Hi Malcy, yes I have loadsssss of clothes in my wardrobe that dont fit, I also have been trying on things and quite a few now fit, I prefer to lose inches rather than weight (they dont always go together) I lost over 2 stone for my sons wedding many years ago, but only went down one dress size. I will keep at it. Hope you get to the size you want for your hol lol Annxx

Well done all you good people.
It sounds like a few of us have hit a brick wall for one reason or another. We've had quite a drama this weekend. Son got took in hospital found out his got diabetes. So that has totally thrown all plans out of window. It will be a whole new learning curb. Probablies do us all some good. So I also cant concerntrate on a lot at moment. But I won't be giving up.
Whats that saying, IT AIN'T OVER TO THE FAT LADY SINGS lol

Hi everyone. We can do it! I know what you mean about it getting harder to lose weight as you get older Ann. I didnt have a weight problem until I was in my late 30s and it seems that I put on weight just by thinking of food!
Cads - Norman is diabetic and as I work in the local hospital, I took advantage of getting as much advice as possible from our Consultant Diabetologists who said that although diabetes will be with him for life, unlike other illnesses and if he follows medical advice, his lfestyle will become healthier altogether, which it has. He was at the docs last Monday so that he could have "bodily fluids"!!! and weight taken prior to his "MOT" this Thursday. Since his last appointment - six months ago - he has lost 3.7kgs. (possibly down to my healthier eating because whatever I eat - he does too!!). He is now on medication because we couldn't control his sugar levels by diet only but all in all he is much healthier than he was.
Keep going and good luck to everyone this week.

How can you avoid chocolate with a name like Cadbury?
I have a friend called Rollo (surname). When his younger daughter gets married, should he say "I'm giving away my last Rollo"?
