Well done Malcy, hope you get into your clothes, may have to get yourself some new ones for your new slim figure. Thanks again for starting this post, must be one of the most popular ones on here, just shows how many people struggle with their weight. I to just watched comic relief, makes you realize how lucky we are, lets hope our money makes a difference, heartwarming to see how generous people can be even in these hard times lol Ann xx

Heh all you good people.I went for my weigh in and after a few days over the Lake District and lots of food and hot toddies to keep me warm in tent I was very convinced I would of put weight on. Thought at least 3lb, but to my amazement I stayed the same. I was over the moon, most of been the trek up to Grisedale Pike that help. Been for a lovely 45 minute walk with the dogs this morning. Worked up a good pace. Raring to go this week.I do love this post as well.

I'm finding this post so encouraging as it is ordinary people (not fitness fanatics) trying to lose weight in so many different ways.
People who are honest enough to say they have been a bit naughty.
I've been naughty this weekend as usual but my weekday working of diet and exercise will hopefully show another few ounces of loss!
Friday morning on the scales is a hopefull/scary thing.
New clothes sounds good Ann.
Keep at it Cads.

Thanks Malcy. My weigh in is a Thursday night but my weekend is a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday off work. So I try to be good on at least on of those days, then the rest of week til Thursday. Well the weather isn't looking to bad out today. So going to have a bike ride. 24 miles the route I'm doing. Have nice rosy cheeks when I get in. Mum be here for late lunch so I can reward myself with a few red wines to keep me sane.

Cads - I pumped up the tyres on the bikes today, that wore me out to start with. We have a nice ride from where we are at the top of the town across the fields and then down to a village pub for a rest and then along by the river back to town. Only about 10 miles but a good excuse for a couple of beers in the village pub.
My sport was cycling way back in the Iron Age. 237 miles over a 12 hour time trial race was hard, so I took up sailing!!
The excersize bike upstairs isn't the same as being out in the fresh air so we are going to be out on the roads soon.

Bike ride to the pub sounds like my kind of exercise Malcy, as long as it down hill on way home. Cads hope you enjoyed your bike ride, I get weighed on Monday when I bother. Try not to do it every week, using my clothes as a way of checking, if they tight, they shrunk in wash, if they fit, still shrunk in wash, if they bit baggy, yippee!! Hope everyone else trying to lose weight are doing OK, I wonder what our joint weight loss is. Maybe that something we could look into on a rainy day lol Ann xx

It's uphill coming home!!!
If I can put something on and not have to stretch it so it fits over my tum then it is all worth it.
And it seems to be working so far. Now for the big push over the next 10 weeks. By the time I get to the Roxi Bar I will be as fit as a racing snake with the body of an Adonis.
Dream on said my wife!!

Very impressed Malcy with that mileage. Had a good bike but on way home got stuck in the crowds of football fans. They were coming towards us as we were going towards them. It was a scary few moments to say the least. Today is maybes walk along beach and tidy up garage or go an do a big hike on part of the Cleveland way. Or that could be tomorrow. Sun is shining and got that Spring in me step that you have when summer is on its way. Yippee
