I've been riding on Corfu, but after several holidays in Paxos have not seen anywhere advertising riding - if there is I'm sure someone on the site will be able to let you know.

Hi, There was for a short time a riding 'centre' on the headland at Lakka but I was told that someone had a fall and was killed and the centre shut down. I am sure that there is now no riding on the island.

I'm afraid the tale about someone being killed is a bit of Paxos 'folklore'. The centre failed for other reasons (can't really go into them here). Somone just outside Lakka was thinking about setting up last year but it never happened. The cost of feed etc and lack of grazing land suitable for horses being a big problem.
I never did take the chance to go for a ride during the Lakka centres brief life. Shame as it would have been fantastic. the sea water would have helped me recuperate after being so out of practise!

How long ago was the centre open? I remember seeing a white horse tethered somewhere near Lakka and if I hadn't taken a photo of it, I would have thought I was dreaming. It's in my pre-digital camera batch of photos marked 97-99 - would that have been round about the right time?
