See the thread "Summer Holidays 2009" below started by STEVEG, including my own description of our stay at Marilena last July. It is well placed and I am sure you will like them. When are you going?

Hello. We stayed in the Marilena appartments last September. A lovely lady Maria owns them and shes lovely. She even carried my case to my room. The rooms are very nice and very clean. The bathrooms are probably the best I have had in a Greek apartment so far. The swimming pool is behind the apartments and was again spotlessly clean. The only down side we found was that they are a long walk from the Main Paleo bit. You have to walk down a very busy road that winds round and round and can be very tiring. The walk to the harbour used to take us at least 45 mins. There are two good restaurants outside across the road. We spent every night in the Oasis which I dont think you could beat. Lovely atmosphere and they have a Greek night once a week. There is also another swimming pool and bar next door and a supermarket just across the road. All in all we found the apartments lovely, the immediate area fine but just a bit too far from the beaches. If you like walking you will be fine, or of course they say there is a bus, although I saw bus stops I never saw the bus!!

Hi Steve, we're going on the 11th May - 18th May, hope the weather is warm too? I think It should be I've visited before two years ago to St georges gbay south, that was a lovely holiday too It's quiet down there. If you like quiet places that is? But Paleokastritsa takes it all.
Thanks again
Lindybell

Hi Kajayeast london, I was told that it's quite far away from the main beach, my boyfriend and I said that we would hire a car, we did last year from a guy called George, very nice man too, and he does really good deals on his cars and bikes,

There is a bus stop near the apartments and there is always a bus timetable displayed showing times from Corfu Town to Paleo and from Paleo Main beach to Corfu Town. Add roughly 30 mins to time leaving town if you want to go down the resort and about 5 mins from Paleo times if you want to go into town. If there is no time table pop into the camping reception, close by, as they always have an up to date timetable on display.
