The difficulty is that any walk in Paleo involves stopping to look at the views and/or stopping to have a coffee or a beer- therefore walks can take anything from half an hour to 5 hours!

I,  like Helen,  have stayed there many a time, and will be back in September. They are basic BUT WOW, the location and the views!!!! Helen"s photo just gives you a taste!! I"d say you are about 30 minutes walk(depending on your pace, and mine is very fast) to the bottom of the resort where the walk to the monastery starts(I"ve never actually timed it). Within 2 mins of the studios, you have excellent bars like Petrinos, Moody Blue, and the Faros Pool Bar.... Nice snacks at Petrinos and Faros..... Good taverna which is the Naussika which you will soon find..... the "Greek Way" Grill House is good and cheap.....and then the Nereids restaurant which is recommended as well. That lot is within a 2 to 3 minute radius... and plenty more either way...

Enjoy!!!
