He,s still working, went out with him last week, he said its definately his last year his back is playing up. He lost an anchor in Kalami not so long ago and had trouble whilst we were there pulling the anchor up.

Yup, Christos has said that this will be his last season.  His back is causing him pain, and he seems to have lost the spark of previous years.

We did ask how much he wanted for Delphina, and the sum of €10k was mumbled...  He did say that he may already have a buyer!

Christos  has been telling us this is his last season, every season for the last "Five"years, the old scallywag. The man and the boat go together like strawberries and cream and if he does sell the boat, part of Kassiopi would be lost for ever. Hanky panky, naughty, naughty

Davyboy.

I do agree with you davyboy, but last week he really did seem as if he'd lost interest, and was really adamant that he'd be giving it up.

After many years at sea, 20-odd of those being entertaining us visitors, I think he deserves a rest - but I might end up being wrong!

It'd be a quieter harbour without his cries of lazy boy/girl, whay-aye, yacky-dah etc!

He is 69 this year and there are no mechanical winches on the boat to pull up the anchor - it's pure physical labour

At some point he will have to give up and he was quite clear in May that this was to be his last season

Hi Becky

We were on Christos boat with you, our friends stayed at Agni as they were staying in Kalami. We saw you in the harbour bar on our way up to Jasmines (nice cocktails) Hope the rest of your holiday was as good as ours. As you say he didn't seem his usual self that day, but we all have our off days.
