Whats this star business. Apparently I am a 2 star person. How did I get ther and what makes me a General. To be a 6 star General what does it take. I sent a joke the other day and it can only be viewed by people with more stars. How do you guys work?

The star system as such was scrapped some time ago. There were so many arguments as to why one member should have more stars than another.
The way the system works is that everyone joining the site is a 1member, when you have made enough posts you become a 2 member which will then let you onto The Beach forum. There is no set level of posts that gives you that status.
From that point you climb up the ladder based on the value of your posts to other members. You may have seen the VOTE icon above other members posts, you can vote Yes or No as how usefull you found that post. You may of course decide not to vote at all. The voting results are analised over a period of time, Admin then decide if you then warrent another . It takes a long time to reach the 6 level. Why worry about 's , as long as you have 2, you have access to all forums.
