New Gallery!!!!

Here's a hint for anyone wanting to use Windows to 'batch' resize their photos prior to uploading them to their personal gallery. It sounds complicated but it really isn't - once you've done it the first time you'll see how simple it was to do and how tricky it was to explain!

Create a folder containing COPIES of your original photos. Select all of the photos in that new folder (hold down Ctrl and while keeping it down click the A key) and right-click the mouse. Choose OPEN WITH (halfway down drop-down menu) and choose Microsoft Office Picture Manager. On the Picture manager menu bar click view and choose thumbnails. Select all of the displayed pics (Ctrl+A again). On the menu bar at the top select PICTURE and then choose COMPRESS from the drop down. On the list of options select WEB PAGE and then click the OK button. The pictures will be over-written in the folder you started from - THAT'S why I said to first create a folder with COPIES and work from that. Now you can upload all the pictures to your gallery in the normal way from your newly compressed copies folder.
