I've always used Johnson's palatable all-in-one tablets for my cats (who hunt a lot) and they've always gobbled them up. The vet said they were fine for them too and much cheaper.

When we lived in Greece we only ever used the over the counter tick and flea spot on which also seemed to work. The only reason I use frontline now is because the dogs have pet passports and the vet uses it when we bring them back into the UK. I use a cheaper brand (Bob Martin tick and flea drops)on the cats and it keeps the little devils at bay. I used to use it on the dogs too before they had their passports and it even worked on the one that had a severe flea allergy. I always knew if we had little visitors in the house because apart from the scratching he would immediatley come up in a rash.

Thanks for the information Alison. I have to look into this again when I get back to the UK. It is going to be the one that works the best at the least cost, as it is an expensive thing when there are so many cats that need the flea treatment this time of year. Some of the fur is in a terrible state and it is with the fleas.

I need to find a way of buying them wholesale or in bulk and maybe get a better price.

Angela,

I may be able to help get some information as I know some people who work in rescue over here. I'll ask if they have any information.

I've also got the number for the main sales office for Bob Martin. They're the company that do the deworming drops. If you want I'll give them a ring on Monday and see what 's the best price they can do on a job lot. I found an internet supplier who sells them 4 tubes for £6.50 and they treat three types of worm.

Stuart and I have got hold of 12 doses of flea and tick treatments for cats and 9 for the dog centre. They're just good over the counter makes but  as I say they've always worked on my dogs, especially if used regularly.

Just wanted to say thank you to you all for looking after the animals, your doing a great job, thanks xx

Is there anyway i can set up a standing order each month to help out? It wouldnt be for much, but Im trying to lose weight, so the money i wont spend on chocolate could go to the cats!

Thanks!

I have just been sent some information from a supplier who said that Frontline had been re-classified so that you no longer need a prescription for it.  They also said that this should hopefully bring the price down, I suppose because they now have to compete on the open market.

You can buy Frontline pretty cheaply on the internet from the states so the price might come down to a similar amount

We've got 8 doses of the spot-on dewormer to bring over for the cat's. This also used to be available by prescription only, so I presume it's pretty good stuff. It lasts for 3 months.

Thanks for that Stuart, I will look at that. I am due to go back to the UK for a few weeks soon so I will see what I can buy it for now.

I have received some wormers and flea treatments during the last week and thanks to everyone that is bringing them out. It really will help to get more cats cleaned up and make life better for them and for everyone else!!

Thanks to everyone that is sending things to us. I have been informed of many bad situations, it is going to take a while to sort some of them but with your continued help and support I am sure we will get there eventually amd hopefully sort some of Corfus cat problems out.

Hi all

Wristbands are now available from the Agni Animal Welfare website. As the demand for these wristbands is so huge, I have stayed up to get the link set up. It is way past midnight here but too warm to sleep anyway.

You can now place your order from the Animal website. I cannot get the link on to the CTG site without nathans assistance so will set that up later.

You do not need to set anything up with Paypal to pay through them. Go to the DONATE button on our website and just fill out the boxes. You do need a credit card that is all. Some of you may have Paypal accounts but if you havn't you do not need to open one.

If you prefer to pay by cheque you can do so, tick the appropriate box. If you make your payments and place the order they will be despatched as soon as Julia returns to the UK on 5th June.

You can obtain the bands from Agni Taverna from Tuesday 30th May.

The animal website address is www.agni-animal-welfare-fund.com
or use the link on my signature.
