Hi all

not sure this will be possible, but here goes

Suz and I used to run chat rooms on IRC for several years. Although being new members to this website and forums we feel it is nice for visitors to this site to be able to chat to others (real time). During the close season November thru till April we will probably use the chat room a lot if people are in, hence my suggestion.... we have realised that the website indicator for the chat room is not accurate ( tonight whilst we had several people join us for quite a time the indicator still stated the room was empty), so is there a way that if when anyone posts a message that they have entered the chat room, that message will appear in all forums? or is there a way that the indicator can be made to be more accurate?

Hi Mac & Suz.

Great talking to you last night. It is good to have some real time talking now and then.

Regarding the Chat Room indicator. This is usual for its slow update, due to where the main server is situated, (Florida), and sometimes it can for ever to update when members are in the Chat Room, sometimes not at all, as we saw last night, although the latter is unusual.

Nathan is the guy who can sort this out, but I believe he is out and about at the moment, after a very hectic season at the Taverna and Agni Travel. However, once he has seen this, and my email I have sent to him, he will with out a doubt check out the server system.

Your idea maybe feasible, again something only Nathan can organise. However, in the meantime, I have moved this topic to the Taverna and Website News forum, so that all members can see the thread, as this forum is for 2 Stars and above. Until such times as something can be rectified or sorted, perhaps members can indicate via this thread when they are in the Chat Room.

See you in the Chat Room again soon.

The best way is to what you done last night my posting on the beach site inviting people for a chat..As Nathan is very busy at the moment as to Sailor posting....But only two star member can Access the beach site as to knowing if anyone is in the chat room...I am sure that Nathan will get around to rectifying the problem as soon as possible....Chris...The better looking one than the one above my posting......
