I cannot access the private messenger facility. It does not appear at the top of the message board forum and when I try to access it from the prompts at the side nothing happens. It was working OK on Friday tea time. Does anyone no of any problems.

The system has been updated so that 1 Star members and Guests cannot use the PM facility. This is due to inappropriate use of the Private Message system by the minority.

Is there any reason for losing the avatar Chris and what criteria will I need to gain access to the PM facility as it was a handy tool for contacting a few friends that we have made on holiday.

I have also noticed that I am registered 3 times in the membership forum. I did contact Nathan about this way back in April and I asked if he could amalgamate the amount of posts onto 1 membership of which he couldn't. Now it appears that I have 3 memberships, can any co-ordinator help.

Hi Wilf.

All Guests and/or 1 Star members are for reasons of problems a few months back, are not permitted access to the PM system. However, when a 1 Star member as submitted posts that contribute to the CTG, ie, holiday reviews, resort, accommodation information. Approximately 20 or more posts, that also abide by the Terms and Conditions, then the member is upgraded upto 2 Star, which will automatically switch in the PM system to that member.

Without going into detail, there were many problems and upsets caused by some members using the PM system, which resulted in this action being taken. Unfortunately, the majority have to pay for the minority again.

However, if you give me your previous site membership names, I will check through you inputs and see if I can come to a decision. Incidentally, why was there the need to change your site membership name.

Sorry about the delay in replying but I have been out of the office since Wednesday of last week. I am registered as Wilf but there is another 2 registrations down for me in wilf moralee and wilfmoralee and I dont know why. I did contact Nathan when there was only 2 and he was going to delete the lesser one but I dont know how it grown to 3.

I can understand the problems you have had with people abusing the PM system, I only hope that I can gain 2 star membership a.s.a.p.
