Hi just got back from a two week stay in Kassiopi, sorted out lots of stuff for our house renovation and had a bit of time to relax! We went to Agni taverna for an evening meal which was absolutely fabulous, so if you haven't been you really must! Another first for us was hiring a motor boat from Philippos in Kassiopi which again is something everyone should try to do once, it is a bit costly if you are on a budget but not too bad if you have four or more people to share the cost. We saw our first tortoise in the fortress which was a real treat, and a black scorpion trying to sneak into one of the suitcases in our apartment which was not!
Met lovely people as always old and new, especially the couple next to us in the apartments, Joan & Ronnie. Hope to see you both in May!
Off for my dinner now and glad to get my forum fix!

Hi FetaOlive,
Glad to hear the house renovating is going well. When we met you last year, you were having problems with roof tiles, so hope that ones sorted out!
We're having a Corfu free year this year but I'm sure we'll be back next year! Trying something different as going on a cruise to the Canaries in December.
Nice to hear from you on the forum.
Maybe see you next year!

Love Bronwen and Brian x x

Hi anghardaroy, how lovely that you got to spend a long summer in your new home! There is still quite a bit of work to do on our house, so not really sure when it will be completed but really looking forward to staying in it rather than the apartments next to it! You should put some photos of it on here, are you pleased with how it all turned out? How long did it all take?

Oh also did you buy furniture there or transport stuff over from England, as we have looked at the furniture in Corfu and it is very expensive also you can't really find any old furniture it all tends to be very "modern Greek".

Hi fetaolive
We completed the work on the house in late June although there are still snags left to do. Im a carpenter joiner by trade so it came in really handy. With regards to furniture etc, we kitted the house out with everything from the UK this includes all building material kitchen and bathroom. We too found that everything was way over priced and not such good quality. I managed to drive a transit van over on 2 seperate occasions. Soo much fun and beautiful scenery! We return to Corfu on the 22nd October to shut house down for the winter.
Good luck with the house
