Thanks to you all for the info. Only 10 days to go now and I am really excited. Our first time for Corfu. I've been reading up about the mozzies and seem to have half a large suitcase full of stuff to beat them, including sun tan oil with insect repellent and a Jungle Gel plug-in thingy.
Can anyone advise a good place to eat within a shortish walking distance?

Ooo Soapy you are spoilt for choice in the nearby tavernas although I wouldn't say any of them are that easy to walk to.

Firstly If you go down almost to the beach and chuck a left you'll find a path which will take you round to Agni and there you will find 3 Tavernas all excellent - You'll need a torch at night and the path can be a bit tricky.

Or you can go right either via the road or again there is a road from the beach I believe which will take you to kalami - The first taverna you will come across is The white House - excellent and then there are another 2 on the beach a bit further round - both superb aswell

If you get a car with the villa you might want to drive to kalami on the road from the villa its a bit bumpy in places but I think they have tarmaced alot of it now so much better. Of course if you are keen walkers then it will be a breeze for you - just remember the torch LOL

Hi Soapy,
Lucky you to be going in 10 days, the mossies are huge, I had never been bitten before, but these guys are hungry!!
The villas provide two wind up torches if you're out and about in the dark.
Please let me know if a tortoise shell cat with a damaged eye is still hanging around, we took a shine to her last year, and was gutted when did'nt get to say goodbye.
Have fun.

I'll look for the cat 101. Getting very worried about these super mozzies as they make a bee-line (should that be mozzie line?) for me and take turns to munch me but leave my husband alone!   Always come home looking like Spotty Dog from the Woodentops!
