hi lorraine10ten unexpectedly, due to xl fiasco we will be at the kamelia for a week from the 20th,if olympic sort my tickets out properly! down side ..i was really looking forward to seeing lesvos, upside i love corfu and hadnt expected to be back this year so major bonus!! . not been to st george before have only stayed in paleo on previous occasions so would appreciate tips re tavernas bars etc.

well i realise why there were no responses, just back today . lousy weather most of the time. kamelia apartments were fine thanks to basil for doing his bit as genial host so well and had a great pool which we did not use as it was too cold.
kafesas taverna was excellent sabastians was also good, the rest were pretty average.
many thanks to car hire company(not based in resort i hasten to add) who failed to turn up or contact me through any of the methods provided and trashed our plans. the forum rules preclude me from mentioning them by name and i must respect that, if you wish to know who they are pm me for details, they are to be avoided!!
on the more positive side the we took a couple of trips into town which were great and ate at Rouvas which was fab. and the transfer company we used holiday taxis were also spot on, great service guys.
will not allow experiences to put me off corfu the people are still wonderful and the countryside beautiful, but i guess i found a place that did not suit me, pity.
