san stefanos n.w is a very laid back village with the most wonderful long sandy horseshoe beach.--nightlife is plentyful but not rowdy-the locals here are very friendly.-lots of private accom. available at the moment  most of them being on the flat. everything is with-in easy reach. excellent for the elderly and disabled.  look at the text www.ionian-gem.com   a good insite to the village.

I have been to both resorts mentioned above and they are both great and seem to be the sort of places you would like according to your descriptions.  I have just got back from San Stefanos N.W and i had a fantastic holiday.  Next to there is a town called Arrilas also which we had a look at which is quieter but looks really nice also.

Try this link for San Stefanos:

Arillas is a little quieter than San Stefanos, it's also smaller and less commercialised. The main part of the resort and beach are all nice and flat.

We had a fabulous laid back holiday there in 2003 and hope to go back at some point.

Have a look at the resort website, and see what you think Lima http://www.arillas.com/

Hi Lima

I cant recommend Arillas highly enough. Sooo chilled, lovely bars and restaraunts, safe beach, super friendly locals. We are going on July 1st for our 20th year and I can honestly say it has changed precious little in all that time. Hve a lovely holiday wherever you choose to go.

Hi You might like Arillas. Nice beach, Nice Tavernas, Nice locals and a few shops. We stayed there 3 years ago and have just paid another visit. Apart from one new bar at the far end of the beach nothing else had changed. It's not to far from Roda by car or bike and we also spent a few evenings in Sidari.

Give it a try I,m sure you will love it. Only  got back on Monday and I am really down in the dumps.

HI

my favourite place is vitaldes a typical greek village with a beutiful beachsouth on the island about 2 miles from leffkimmi .

type in vitalades on any search engine and youlle see the beach and the few apartments that are for rent ..

one thing you will need transport as the walk to the bus stop from kavos to corfu town is about a 40 min walk frokm the beach but if you want typical greek with a hint of tourist done hesitate to contact me
