Now that the season is well over and many taverna staff and all who help to make our holidays enjoyable on Corfu are starting their winter break, I think it is time to say a big thankyou to them all. It has been quite difficult for them as they too have been in recession and still are, plus the exchange rate had all us Brits moaning. And still we are greeted with smiles and a friendly "stop for a coffe?".
On a personal level many thanks to the Agni team who make my holiday in St. Stephanos possible, and also to all the taverna staff there, the apartment owners, shops and markets and hire people. All help to make a holiday so memorable you need to get back again.
I know that some will still be working so that next year will be memorable too.
Thank you Corfu - my favourite place - and hope to see you all again next year.

What lovely sentiments Colin ...... and yes, we should all spare a thought, and a huge thank you, for all our Greek friends. You are right - they keep smiling, and welcoming us, no matter what. Let's hope they have a restful winter and a better season next year.
