I use Skype successfully using WiFi on my laptop & with my iPod Touch. If you can successfully surf the web, but have trouble with the video in Skype it could be that the bandwidth isn't enough to cope with the video.

Mine works a treat with wireless. Do you really mean a wireless dongle or are you refering to a cellphone dongle where the service comes via the mobile network?

Thanks for replying both, yes I am using a Vodaphone wireless usb connected dongle via the Vodaphone mobile network. There is only GPRS coverage no G3 it works ok with internet and using Skype to call computer to computer is not too bad, but trying to call a phone is virtually impossible.I can hear the person I am calling but they can`t seem to hear me.I have bought a new headset but not really made any diffrence. Using a G2 connection will probably not give you a high enough upload speed to send your voice but as the download speed is normally about 8 times the upload speed you should hear the other person OK. Talking skype to skype the voice is compressed and then decompressed by the PC at the other end so needing less bandwidth. I'm afraid there is not much you can do about it without moving to somewhere that G3 is available.
