Just heard Simon Calder of the Independent on BBC TV saying that (after Aldi went into the travel business earlier this year), Tesco are planning to do the same BUT they will have booths in their large stores where you can use phones but they will have humans around to help out. The first opening will be December in Pitsea, Essex.
Will they be cheaper me thinks?????

At the end of the day, Tesco are in the banking business by virtue of groceries as are Thomas Cook by virtue of tourism. It is not as much of a leap as might be imagined as both companies make sizeable profits from money - possibly more than they make from what we perceive to be their core businesses. The question is, in their pursuit of extra profits, will they help tourism to Corfu?

Aldi have sold holidays for a number of years but not in the UK till this year.
They have some good starting prices until you start adding all the extras in!
