Just wanted to say a hello to you all.

My husband and i have just come back from Kassiopi on Friday and it was our first visit to corfu. We both loved the place and even though the weather wasn't brillant we still had a great time, so we have booked up to go again in May next year.

It's so beautiful and the people are friendly.

Welcome Cherry

Yet another convert to the beautiful Corfu. I am so pleased you enjoyed your holiday. These are the very comments we love to see on this site.

As Julia says, this site helps while away the time until we can be back there again. Withdrawal symptoms can be really serious

LOL

It is fantastic to hear that new members have had a great time in Corfu, in particular their first time. Proof from your new booking to go again in May.

Welcome to the Corfu Travel Guide.

Hi Cherry

Glad you enjoyed Corfu and Kassiopi.  As other have said, another convert!

May is a lovely time to visit as the island is still very fresh and green for the winter rains (yes, I know, it has rained during the summer too!)and all of the spring flowers will be out.  Also. from the middle of the month you should be able to see the fireflies at night - dark areas in the olive groves are a good place to spot them.

The only thing about May is that, early in month, you might get some rain and it can be cool in the evenings.

Hi Cherry,

Just echoing what others have said by welcoming you to the site!

I, like you, have been a recent convert to Corfu, and find this site a way of whiling away the time until I return next summer! Everyone here is very kind, and will help you all they can, I just wish I knew half as much as some of these guys!!

Thank you all for the warm welcome to the site.We have booked up to go back kassiopi again and i expect weather will be cool in the evenings, but we aren't bothered about that,at least it should be fairly quiet at time of the year so it give us plenty chance to walk around the place.I think i might go prepared this time with a umbrella just incase there should be any rain.We had a couple of bad days with rain while we was over there but thats the chance you take when you go abroad this time of year.Anyway it hasn't put me off,and as for the withdrawal symptoms Julia,i'm already getting them and i haven't been home a full week yet .

Hi Cherry,

My hubby and I experienced our first visit to Kassiopi this year and we also fell in love with the place and the people, they are so friendly and welcoming (just like the people on this site) I was just wondering when you are going back in May as we are also planning early May as our first visit of the year and then back in September for 2 weeks, perhaps we could meet up for a few drinks if you are out there the same time?

Regards

Chrissie
