Hi people,

If you cann't stand those wasps & bees around you while eating or sitting at the beach then take a piece of aluminum foil and put 2 spoons of coffee, the one we call Greek coffee and light it up with a lighter.

wasps & bees cann't stand the fumes of burning coffee.

Keli Mera Skyllis,

That sounds a good idea. I have never heard of that before. Just hope the cops do not think I am "chasing the dragon"

Thank you Skyliss,

Is it granules, powder, liquid coffee I'm not sure which one you mean.

My daughter has been stung a few times and has scars from the stings.

It would help a lot.

Good morning everybody,

BeeBee, it's "Kalimera", not "Kelimera" but you are welcome anyway, No, I believe they are not so stupid in our days as they were in past...lolololol. A little story that really happened at the very first day of 1967 diactatorship. Policmen had orders to arrest very early in the morning all leftish political persons and confiscate all books, so, in one of their raids they intrude at the persons house arrested him and started collecting his books from library. One they took with them just because they found was big enough was "Tselementes", the Greek guide to cooking!!!

DayDreamer, "greek coffee" comes only in powder, you may find it at any local super market asking for "Elliniko Cafe", abroad is known as Arabic coffee

Hy Skyllis,

Thanks for your reply. Sorry about the typo on Kalimera, I was sending it from work and had been up since 5 am!  I do know how to spell it really, I lived in Greece and was married to a Greek guy.  Speaking of the old days in Greece, I remember being in Athens when there was a demonstration on and everyone coming towards me had tears streaming from their eyes. Suddenly we were confronted by hundreds of police and tanks. Everyone was running in panic and my then Greek boyfriend told me to run. I said "I have a British passport they will not hurt me!!"   I soon ran though when they started firing tear gas at us. Glad those days are over in Greece now.

Memories of the Junta?! What an interesting diversion from wasps and bees!!

Some excellent advice on the original topic, mind you.
