I got bitten for the first time last year.  I'm going to get bitten this year and I'll probably get bitten again next year.

Allen.

I think it's the Corfiots themselves that make the island, they love it themselves and are only too happy to share it with others. I lived in Malaysia for three years and the beaches, mountains and jungle were superb but I still prefer Corfu so much so that I am moving there.

I agree with what everyone has previously posted about 'our' island. It always feels like home as soon as we step off the plane. This year (although so far we have one had one week) it was our 18th  year in Corfu, most years visiting twice a year. Apart from almost crying as soon as we arrive, we always feel like crying when we leave !

I first visisted Corfu two years ago to visit my friend who is a rep on the island, leaving my husband and son at home!  I love Greece anyway, but nothing had prepared me for Corfu.  I loved it from the moment I arrived, driving through the olive groves ... bliss.  I wandered all over the place on my own and never felt unsafe at any time.  Topped off by my first visit to Agni - which surpassed all expectations!  The Corfiot people are wonderful and  amazingly hospitable.  Just perfect.  Its a pity I can't go again until September.  Thank heavens for the Agni website!

We are off soon for the fourth time in as many years - after saying, like many others "we never go back to the same place twice".  I can't wait!

Briandjo -hope you have had a great time - think I have sussed your identity, in which case we spent a very nice day together  - was it 3 years ago? in Kalami at our rented villa!!

Went once with reservations as we were approaching 50 and some neighbours said it was great and it was "disco island." We were well past discoing if we were ever into it. Suffice to say we have been twice a year since.

We love it , we crave it, we need our fix.
