Hi,

I stand in the dock and am as guility as hell! I got back in March and within 3 days I was back on the Internet booking to go to Roda. I am now thinking about our Lunar New Year Holiday in 2008 and working on a price for that, I drive my husband up the wall.

I think time is not the most precious gift we have however time we can share is. After all any time given freely to family friends etc. is just about one of the only gifts we cannot take back. - think about it, don't just think about looking forward to the holiday, weekend etc. Make time to share this precious time with them, they will always have that to look back on, so your 'time' will never be wasted. Just a thought You will have made a difference

Hi all - some very deep and meaningful, haertfelt posts here!! My motto is carpe diem - sieze the moment! Live in the present (children do!)Looking too far forward (or backward) is not as good as it makes out to be! There is also a theory that the older you get the more time flies by and there is a scientific reason (of course!) for this. Thats one of the reasons why I haven't posted my holiday dates for 'the countdown'....
Early retirement eh?? Hmmm, lucky you Stevie!! Enjoy the present. Roz.

I agree with the above posts and it is true BUT it's one of those things which are easier said than done ... human nature! We can't help but look forward to the next thing ...

I am as guilty as the next for wishing my time away to my next holiday. This year I booked in early January for September and made myself promise not to get too excited about it until we at least pay the final balance in July.

But....with the weather over here improving I can't help my thoughts turning to Greece and wondering what to pack, how much money to take, etc., increasingly taking over! So, I allow myself a few minutes and then back to the here and now!

Seems we are all just as bad as each other.
