Thanks for that, I'll be going to my local LIDL for some of those !! NOT sure about the tsatziki flavoured peanuts though !!

The olive paste tastes great on toast, and gives a lovely olive tang to pasta if you mix about a tablespoon in when the pasta is cooked.

The pumpkin/sunflower seeds are tasty, very good for you, but make hell of a mess on the carpet! They are also addictive when you eat them watching tv....

The Tsipouro is a spirit, very strong, which tastes like lighter fuel with a touch of ouzo! It is a fantastic remedy for flu and chest colds, drink about a shot size measure in hot water with honey and lemon. Best to drink it in bed as it will probably put you out like a light. Some greek villagers rub it on their chests for colds, or on tight sore muscles (much like rubbing alcohol).

The feta cheese pastry (and also the spinach if they ever sell it in the uk stores) are gorgeous!

Can't wait to get my hands on the large cheese pies - I think I might need a bigger freezer Tried bringing one home in a freezer bag on year but it was rather squished when I unwrapped it.

I presume Anessia is brandy? Anyone know how it compares to Metaxa?

Could be the start of another topic what is the worst nicest thing you have eaten on holiday.
