Hi Becky, I'm sure she'll feel most at home there, especially when romping in the mountains!  She looks a classy dame though, well looked after and groomed, (or is it coiffured?) unlike most of her Corfiot cousins.

its an area called Tsougaliou (sure the spelling is wrong)

its about 2k inland from Sidari

coming out of sidari, take the right fork at the BP garage, past the Haroula apartments take a left then bear right into the valley, its a good road, i beleive it comes out into a village at the top of the mountain.

You don't mean Tsoukalia, do you Panv?  My map shows this tiny hamlet in a setting which fits your description of (I quote)   "coming out of sidari, take the right fork at the BP garage, past the Haroula apartments take a left then bear right into the valley"

It's midway along a road that runs between the Main Sidari - Livadi road and the road from the Petrol Station - Kavadades.  Back in '97 only the first few yards of the road were metalled, so I wouldn't be surprised if it were all tarmac now.  And it is about 2km inland from Sidari outskirts.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds very similar to me.

Hi,

Just want to add my thanks to Mapman for the Great maps. My Corfiot  ex-hubby who lives on Corfu, now keeps one in his car and says it is the only map he will use when exploring Corfu. He says there are villages on it he never knew existed!!

Sorry to hear some people let you down with payment. You sent ours the day after my cheque arrived so did not wait for it to clear. You are an honest and trusting man so I am sorry that some people have taken advantage of you.

All the best ,

BeeBee

Great Idea Dave!  -  I'm game

Thank you BeeBee, I was told previously that a Corfiot taxi driver had begged a copy off one of our members, and now this... another Corfiot swearing by the map - WOW!

Who could be in any doubt now which is the map to have?

Thanks for your comments too BeeBee, I've met so many lovely people on this forum, that it makes it all worth it.

Stephan

We too have just become proud owners of Stephan's Corfu Map and I love ti already.  When we were first exploring the area we followed some friends into Acharavi and after coffee left them to return to Corfu Town.  We felt all confident with our "army map" but came really unstuck as it's representation of the roads we were on was nothing like the roads we saw!!!!!  We made it in the end but it was hope and pray stuff.

Florida maps are just as unreliable Stephan, that could be your next task?

Thanks again

Tracey x
