Hi folks.

I've had two separate weeks in Corfu this summer (came from 8 days ago from the last one) and I was just wondering, what tips do people find work best when trying to cope with Corfu withdrawal symptoms?!

Apart from having nagged my husband to agree dates to book asap for next year's return, and having stocked up on Fage yoghurts, eating horiatiki most days, I've got the Ouzo bottle to look at and some nice Aghios Gordios pictures stuck up round the house, and looking in on here regularly, what else can I do?!

Thanks in advance chaps:)

Pam (Truro, Cornwall)

I would say the same going on this site is the best medicine. I don't think there is anything to help cure. I have been back a month and i still have the bug wishing I was still there.

I cope by booking flights and accommodation as soon as I get back home, and the dates are put into the diary!! I then book a quick November break elsewhere(this time Italy) and that passes by the time for a week! 10 months to go and counting!!

Hi Pam,

I am sorry to say that your doctor is unable to offer a remedy on the NHS for "Severe Corfu withdrawl symptons." You are the only one who can help yourself.

My suggestion is to visit the CTG site on a daily basis. If you have in interest in Agios Gordios put posts on that forum. All CTG members trawl the forums to get and give information during the "Closed Season". Also visit the photo gallery, download photos. rotate them in your kitchen to give your other half a gentle HINT.

Yammas,  Colin.

Having just had our first corfu holiday at the beginning of july and  booking up again for next year (back in nissaki). I find that looking at holiday photos depressing and have realised that I am going to have to live with this dark cloud  hovering over me until we go back. Ho Hum.

Hi Pam

I suggest you do what I have done (if you haven't already!!) - if you took any pics with a digital camera - stick them on your desk top as a background and you will have a constant reminder.  If you haven't any, pm me with your e mail addy, and 'll willingly send you a few!

Nigel
