I'm half way thru "The Greek for Love" and Wendy is just a couple of weeks away from having her baby, I'm really enjoying it, but I know (as I've read on here) that it will get sad soon.

Pass the tissues please!

When I've done with that one, I have "A house in Corfu" by Emma Tennant, again another recommeded one by CTG members

One more book for you.

This time of the on-line variety so that you can read it in work and still look like you are busy at your PC.

This is Matt Barrett's travelogue entitled 'Spearfishing in Skatahori'. A collection of his travel writings.

And if you not already familiar with his site take a look at this for great info on Athens, the mainland and many of the islands.

and his Greek travel guide

Saved me from many a boring day at the office!

Also check out his photo albums - they're very good. Thats why this year we are going to Sifnos.

Skorps

Thanks to all your suggestions, I picked up "A House in Corfu" and am really enjoying it so far. Question, though....so far (and i'm about 60 pages in), Emma Tennant seems amazed by the differences between the East and West Coast...air, water, etc. Are there really such noticeable differences?

I am reading the same book at the moment. In answer to your question, I have read on this site and others that regarding the east and west coast. The beaches and sea water on the west side are I believe far clearer and a lot cooler, or do take longer to warm up. The west side is I would say probably less commercial than the east, thus having a difference in the air also.

Yours, Minola.

I'm anxious to check it out myself!
I know everyone has their favorite places and it's difficult to know what will appeal to you until you go, i guess. In general, though, it doesn't really sound like you can go wrong!
