Hope you are fully recovered, I cant stand those things, the thought of them turns my stomach.

I will certainly be keeping an eye on the little blighters from now on, they do anything for a free beer.

Oh they are everywhere! I sat back helplessly while one stole - yes STOLE a piece of my bacon and flew off with it!

My other half (who is terrified of them) sat on one while we were out on a hire boat.  It stung his bum!  The way he was jumping about and shouting I thought someone was shooting at us.

You can't even get away from them in the open ocean!

Gosh that's a frightening story! Hope you are recovered now.

My dad who is allergic to wasp's got stung last year just as we sat down to enjoy our fabulous lunch in Kalami, within moments he couldn't breath and was swelling up fast, luckily we were able to inject him with his epi pen of adrenaline (which was the first time in ages he had it on him) and continue with our lunch and mythos .

My daughter got a bad reaction when she was stung on her arm in July.  The doctor was great but I dread to think wahat would have happened if she had been stung in her throat.

Hope you are fully recovered.

one thing I do if I have a can of pop is to wedge a piece of card, beer mat or similar, under the folded back ring pull, which effectively blocks the opening!!! mind you, as I usually drink draft Mythos, can easily see the little devils if they pop in for a swift one!!!!!

Are there likely to be many wasps about in October?

I had one in my wine jug last week, poured it out with a refill!  They are certainly very bad this year - I ordered mussels at Boukari one lunchtime and had 8 wasps buzzing around my lunch - too scared to pull my chair out in case I trapped one under my hand/armpit so just sat there desperately trying to get my husband to do something - he was busy on his mobile trying to text a friend (don't you just hate mobiles on holiday?)  Anyway, swapped my mussels for his fried sardines so he had the problem then!  Our waiter brought out a saucer with Greek coffee (dried) in it, then set a little alight, it burned like a joss stick and believe it or not it worked!
