Hi Angie

To all visiting Arillas, we went to Arillas a few yrs ago, twice in fact and really liked it, also have been to St Steph (NW) and that was nice also.

Yesterday I went to Arillas site and found some pictures of Vassilis Kostantis an artist of Arillas. Vassilis was only young when we went there, we used to eat at the  "Armourada" nearly every night, it was excellent food . They had a dog called Bobbo who has since died. We didn't know the owner of the restaurant's  name so we used to call him Mr Bobbo.  I twisted an ankle while in Arillas and Vassilis gave me a lift back to our apartment on his little moped. They were all lovely people. Is "Armourada" still open?

Hope you all enjoy wherever you go

I'll be  in Kassiopi 2 wks. Time creeps up on you so fast I'd better get things sorted pretty quickly now

Carol Rhinofan

ps last night  my team got through to Challenge Cup next round

Three weeks on Monday we shall be in Ag Steph (NE) for the third time. Am so excited that I have half packed my bag already. I am never so excited about any other holiday destinations. The reason we are returning is the friendliness of the people, the gorgeous views, especially from our villa, and the early eveining drinks at Damianos watching the boats coming in and out. Oh what bliss!

This is our 4th time - we stay in Corfu Town and like it there for a number of reasons, although we do visit other places when we are there.  I ws reading all of the posts and trying to work out what it is about Corfu - because other places have the sun, sand, food etc.  I know the people are really lovely, but someone asked me the other day, why Corfu and not Cyprus for example, and I couldn't really give a reason why I like it so much - I guess its just a combination of everything about it really.   I walk into the hotel and get quite emotional - as if I have come home, and the minute I land, I feel settled in straight away.  My other half likes to go to other places, but I would be quite happy to go every year - why go somewhere else you might not like - when you know you are going to love it in Corfu.

The  post above says it all for me and I've been 34 times with my 35th to Kassiopi coming up this June.

Spot on Jules.

Hi Bruce and Maria

Thanks for your reply. I should also mention the glorious day that we had with Christos on his boat from Kassiopi. He took just four of us out for the day and it was magical. I feel like a novice now only going back for the third time and must say that we spent quite alot of time in Kassiopi but never for an evening. The restaurants in Ag Steph and the convenience of the boat taking us to Agni Taverna made us really lazy. But this time we are definately going to make it there for a few evenings...........I'll let you know if this actually happens when I return!!

Going back to Pyrgi, this will be our 7th year, last 4 to the same appartments. Other half keeps saying "we will try somewhere else next year" but he is always happy to book up to go back. You cannot beat the Corfoit for friendlyness and warmth, we have made some wonderful friends and keep finding new restaurants and Taverna's each visit. Friday can't come soon enough......

We stayed in corfu town 1st may for a week although we were busy most days looking for property. On an evening my quest was to have been everywhere but even on the last day I found a part that I hadn`t been to before. I think it was in the jewish quarter. I just love the differences of the town. We ventured from our hotel near the Liston and ended up near the resturant the wishing well that someone posted before that they`d spent a week looking for. My husband and I both laughed the third time we came across it I am begining to feel we probably don`t have a very good sense of direction? Who cares I quite like getting lost not being far from anywhere.

Hi yvon

I'll shall probably die before see all of my beloved Corfu as I've said it will be 35 times in June ..and hope to visit somewhere different on Corfu this June..It's great having a beer up some lane out in the middle of nowhere where the guy selling it to me can't talk English and I can't talk Greek ..but he never misunderstands what I mean or what I want and I never misunderstand how much he wants..hands are great for talking with..funny but us old guys seem to get along.

Bruce

Have to agree with all of you. We started going to Corfu in 1997 and fell in love straight away. Are lucky that we now have a house on this beautiful island. Have visited every year for 2 or 3 times - have never had a bad holiday  look forward to the next time
