Hi

I'm coming over this weekend to visit my Mum who has Just moved to Corfu and I am staying until after Easter. I have been told that easter is a mega time to visit and the celebrations are fantastic. I'm hoping it will not be too much of a problem as i'm coming with my son, Owen who is 9 months old.

Where are good places to visit out of season. Have been to Corfu nearly every year for the last 14 so want some off beat places.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Sara

Hi Sara

Welcome to the site.  Whereabouts will you be staying on the island?

Julia

Hi again,

I think if I were going out to Corfu now I would spend some time walking in the countryside enjoying all the flowers coming out etc.  Of course it is not always easy with a baby.  You could drive down to Korission and walk along the road between the lake and the sea.  It will be fine for a pushchair.  You could stop at Gardiki and have a look around or perhaps drive across to Boucari which is just south of Messonghi.

Or if you head towards Roda there is what looks to be a nature reserve, I think it is after Platonas, it might not be of course but it looks lovely to walk there and there seem to be maps of the area posted up.  If it isn't then Roda to Acharavi is a lovely walk along the road by the beach and you could pop in and say Hi to Kev at Planetolivewood.

The other thing which might be interesting if it is open to the public is the reclamation yard Anaplasis.

Hope this was of some use, they may not be the kind of things you enjoy! But if anything else occurs to me I will let you know.  Have a lovely time,

Julia
