I understand a licence is required to hire above 35hp. Are there any thoughts regarding the best body to obtain this through?  RYA BSAC or others?

Hi Mike

I would suggst that your best bet is to go through the RYA sportboat course. Once you have done this, they will issue your ICC, which is valid for 3 years (FOC if you are an RYA memeber) and then you can charter speedboats in Greece.

I'm not sure of the power rating you quote; I thought that it was either 25 or 30 hp, but you can see where I'm going.

Hope this helps.

I have checked with the RYA - they have a 2 day course which provides an internationally recognised Licence which is valid for 3 yrs  .  I understand it cost's around £140.
