I'm sure you're all aware, but if like me you didn't know your E111 has now run out.  Use the link to apply for your new health insurance.

A timely reminder, thanks Spike. The E111 ceased on the 31st December 2005, and the new EHIC Card is now in use. Easy to obtain via the above link, takes about 5 minutes to complete, as long as you know your NI number, or NHS Number. The cards are valid for 5 years, and are renewable through the same link, using your card number. It takes about 4 or 5 days to arrive.

Yammas, Chris

Do you not automatically recieve one? We had to fill out an E111 last year, before we went to Corfu in June. We also had to sign another piece of paper, and i am sure the lady said behind the counter, that this was so we could recieve our card.

Yammas!

If you filled in the bit requesting for your new cards to be sent automatically I would've thought you'd have received yours by now.

That's how we did it.........

Hi Trace,

That was obviously what we filled in. Thanks for that.

I wonder why we haven't recieved ours yet!  Will have to look into it.

Elaine and myself completed the Forms E111 and CM1 last year to go to Zakynthos, and was told this was for an automatic issue of the new EHIC Card. It had not arrived as stated, so checked using the weblink above, and we received them within a few days. If you look on the link Cindy, or go back a page or two from that, there is a telephone number you can contact to chase them up. If not reapply using the above link.

Yammas, Chris.
