Hi everyone, and a belated Happy New Year.
Well I'm back from Christmas in Corfu, Well been home a couple of weeks now, but Tim came back with me for a while.
Christmas in Roda what a blast. I have to admit it was nothing like I expected. I really thought I might get borded (fat chance) the whole two weeks was great.
From the minute I arrived it was wonderful. Alot of Corfu friends had family on the flight so it was a very big welcoming commitity at the airport. The atmoshere was buzzing. Got luggage then headed off straight to the Bar for a well deserved drink ( as you do). Swayed home just after 3a.m. Lost most of that day sleeping. Serve you right I here you shout.
The following day went to Corfu town Christmas shopping as it seems did everyone who lives on the island. There was not a single seat to be had on the Liston, what a wonderful sight to see everyone was buzzing around the only place quite was McDonalds much to Tim's delight.
Christmas eve was everything I hoped it would be. We headed to the Roda Tavern, everyone took food and there was stacks to eat. Tim, Adrian (who owns Tavern) and a friend Tony delighted us with some great music. Then they handed out carol sheets and we all had a big sing song. I had goose bumps as we sang along.
Christmas day was quiet and lovely. Tim and I had the morning to ourselves (first time in 12 years) then headed to Adrian & Sue's for lunch and daft party games. No television what a nice change. The evening was spent just the two of us alone again curled up watching movies.
Boxing day was the big knock out darts competition oh dear we didn't fair to well at that and both got knocked out in the second round. good old Darren Day stealling the cup at the end.
Another day open house in Sidari at friends and I finally got my prezzie and lovely new mobile phone.
New Years eve everyone dressed up in there Sundat best and looked very smart and we definatly ROCKED RODA we had the new year Corfu time then did it all aging on the stroke of 2 for friends at home. Tim and gang again amazed us with their musical talents.
I was treated to a few nice meals out whilst there. One of them being a fantastic chinese meal cooked by a friend. All to soon it was time to come home. At the airport it looked like a mad evacuation from the island. Tim came back with me for 2 weeks returning home today. It wads the first time in 10 years we had been on a plane together, the last being when we returned from our first holiday to the island.
Well there you have it my Christmas in Corfu. Sorry if its been a long story but thats as short as I could get it.
IT WAS FANTASTIC. BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO MADE IT HAPPEN. MOSTLY TO MY WONDERFUL MAN TIM.
Best wishes everyone thanks for reading
